The Hoveton & District Bridge Club is a very well established, friendly duplicate bridge club and is affiliated to the Norfolk Contract Bridge Association and the English Bridge Union and welcomes players of all standards. There are regularly between 12 and 15 tables.
The Club meets every Thursday evening in the Village Hall at 6.45 pm for a 7 pm start and welcomes new members and visitors. The annual subscription is £5 and table money is £1.50 for members, £3 for visitors.
The Club asks that newcomers play 3 times as a visitor before applying for membership. Please note, there is currently a waiting list for membership.

| EBU Pay to Play Scheme given the go-ahead |
| After an informative session from Suzanne Gill before bridge on Thursday, 11th June, and following some discussion, the members present voted in favour of the new EBU Pay as you Play scheme with 34 votes for and 9 votes against. This vote proved be the same proportion of for and against numbers as the one carried out by secret ballot last year. The new scheme is due to come into operation in April 2010. |
