Monday, 15th January 2024 marked another wonderful day at The Old Rectory where Horning Bridge Club members and guests once again enjoyed our annual Bridge Winter Away Day. In keeping with previous Away Days, there was lots of happy socialising, wonderful food and service and, of course, a challenging session of Bridge to keep the brain cells busy! 

A huge thank you to Jenny Hemmings for ensuring everyone had a partner and got the lunch they had ordered. This is no mean feat given the number of people who suddenly find themselves unable to come at the last minute. Our best wishes go to all of those who are unwell and we wish them all a speedy recovery. 

Congratulations to the North/South winners, Matt Jackson and Mike Williams and East/West winners, Ann Riley and Maggie Philipps who each received a bottle of wine to celebrate their achievement. Prizes were presented by Chairman Jim Fletcher.

We look forward to our next Away Day, in warm summer weather, on Monday 17th June, same place, same time but without the risk of snow and ice!
