The Club runs courses for beginners every year.
The next course will start in October 2018. It is likely to be on Monday evenings starting at 7.30 p.m but this will be confirmed in September.
The course lasts 12 months divided into 3 terms each of 10 weeks though an occasional extra week is often added depending on the progress of the group.
The course will follow the 'Bridge for All' syllabus of the English Bridge Union and is led by an experienced teacher approved by the EBU.
The first lesson is free but the club then requires a commitment from students for the term. Each term costs £60.
Concessionary course fees are available to students who are in receipt of means tested state benefits reducing the fee by 50%.
Obviously students make better progress if they can attend every week but with other commitments this is not always possible. The teacher will provide details of any week's lesson missed if you tell him in advance.
Each lesson lasts approximately 2 hours but students are then welcome to stay for refreshments, play amongst themselves or watch play in the main duplicate session.
