The Hitchin Bridge Club meets for duplicate pairs on Wednesdays and Thursdays @ 7.30 p.m. at Bancroft Hall Hitchin. The venue is located near the centre of this historic and pretty market town. If you are visiting the area and would like a game please call us and we will try to find you a partner. Table monies £2.50 members, £3 non members. Annual subscription £5.
The Thursday evenings are aimed at less experienced players. Wednesdays are open events. Partners not usually required. Visitors always welcome. Complimentary refreshments.

Gentle duplicate evenings are held on Thursdays. This evening is intended for less experienced players. The club aims to provide a relaxed, friendly and supportive atmosphere. 

A simple Acol bidding system only is permitted. Partners are not required.

A standard form Simple Systems convention card is available at the club for all players to use and can be downloaded - see Bridge Information dropdown box.

We anticipate our 2009/10 students will join these sessions during the next few weeks.

Now is an ideal time to return to bridge or to try duplicate bridge for the first time if you have only previously played social or rubber bridge.

The pace of play on Thursdays is slower than at our Wednesday sessions and there is sometimes time to discuss the bidding or play of a hand at the table.
