Cafe Bridge in Hitchin

As part of the Hitchin Festival Hitchin BC will be running a Cafe bridge event in collaboration with 8 cafe/restaurants in Sun Street Hitchin.

This will be a relaxed duplicate event where pairs move from one restaurant to another.It will start at 11.00am and at 1 oclock they will stop at the restaurant where they are for a lunch and then continue until about 4.00pm. There will be prizes and any profit from the event will be donated to the Hitchin Initiative who run the Hitchin Festival.

The event will be held on Thursday 16th July. Entry is £15 per person including lunch.

Do you want to learn to play bridge?

A number of our affiliated clubs in Hertfordshire run Courses for beginners and improvers. To find out details of the Courses and Clubs near you together with contact details click on the menu page on the left titled Education and Teaching and then on the page titled Teaching in Clubs.

Letchworth Heritage Bridge Club affiliates to EBU and HBA

Wecome to the Letchworth Heritage Bridge Club. The Club  has recently affiliated to the EBU and HBA. The club meets in Letchworth on Monday afternoon and Tuesday evening. Full details can be obtained by emailing marion Watkins, Secretary at  tonymarionwatkins@tiscali.co.uk.

Success for the County Teams

The final fixtures in the Eatern Counties league have now been played and it has been another very successful year for our County teams.

The A and B teams won their Divisions and the C team were second.

Congratulations to all those who played for the County this year

The A and B teams will now go on to the National Interleague finals to be held on Sunday 28th June in Solihull.

We wish them all success in the final

Both events start at 12noon and comprise 7 x 7 board matches with an interval for refreshments after the 4th match.
