All events take place in the Bridge Centre, Gosling Sports Park AL8 6XE unless otherwise advised. Car park charges have been introduced at the Sports Park but an exemption applies for bridge players. To secure your exemption please e mail your car vehicle registration to David Wren at firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively you can include your car registration number on the entry form for HBA competitions. If you don't register your car in advance you will need to advise reception when you arrive for the event or enter the car details on the form in the Bridge Centre. A list of all exempt vehicles appears on the Welwyn BC website. Once vehicle details are captured the exemption applies every time you attend in that vehicle.

A clean sweep - Well Done
Following the recent successful clubs meeting and the suggestions raised HBA has arranged the following courses, all to be held at the Welwyn Bridge Centre.
1. Saturday 28th July. 10.00 - 13.00. EBU Score.
2. Saturday 28th July. 14.00 - 17.00. Club director revision, focusing on the 2017 Laws, particularly comparable calls.
3. Saturday 8th September. EBED day on 'How to run a duplicate event' focusing on the mechanics of running club events.
4. EBED club director training course - the course is three Saturday sessions on 22nd September, 6th October and 20th October.
Applications for courses 1 and 2 above should be made through your club Committee. Applications for courses 3 and 4 should be made to Richard Banbury or via the EBED website.
