Do you want to learn to play bridge?
A number of our affiliated clubs in Hertfordshire run Courses for beginners and improvers. To find out details of the Courses and Clubs near you together with contact details click on the menu page on the left titled Education and Teaching and then on the page titled Teaching in Clubs.
Congratulations to the team from Hitchin BC who won the cadet teams championship on 26th April by a clear margin.
The team members were Heather Allen, Bernadette Callis, Chris Bryce and Jane Sparkes.
Second were Watford BC and third Royston BC

Congratulations to Celia and Derek Oram winners of the Championship Pairs Final held on 21st April.
Second were Malcolm Harris and Maria Budd, third were Mark Westley and Tim Nash and fourth were Jean Anderson and Jeff Green.
All of them will be invited to take part in the National Corwen trophy to be held on 1-2 June 2013. Best of luck to all four pairs in that event.
Congratulations to Robert Teesdale and Arni Anidjar-Romain winners of the Senior Pairs held on Tuesday 16th April.
Second were Jean Anderson and Jeff Green-continuing their great run of form this year.
Third were David Stimson and Roger Edmonds.
Congratulations to the Welwyn GC BC team of Bobbie& Martin Rodney, Peter Clark, Simon Mostyn, Stan & Tara Harding, Maggie Dawson and Bill Gordon who narrowly won the Desmond Flockhart trophy for teams of eight held on Sunday 7th April. Second were another Welwyn team and third a team from Watford BC.
The winning team will represent the County in the regional finals of the Garden Cities Trophy to be held at Peterborough on 18th May 2013. Best of luck to the team
AGM
and presentation of trophies and prizes
will be held on Sunday 9th June 2013
at 3.00pm in the Bridge Centre, Welwyn
following the AGM there will be a mixed teams event (to enter click on entry forms under the menu on the left hand side and select mixed teams)

Bridge Centre, Gosling Sports Park
A pivot teams of four competition with each team required to include at least one lady and one gentleman. All players must be HBA members.
There will be an interval during the event when wine and soft drinks will be served but players should bring their own food.
