The meeting opened at 1855 with Chairperson Eve Prickett in the chair and 24 other members present.
1. The minutes of last years AGM were discussed and accepted as a true record.

2. The chairmans report:
The chairman opened the meeting by telling everyone present that this is the 58th year that the Club had been running. Eve gave her report by saying that she was grateful for Norman Steadman for all his work during the year as our treasurer and for setting up the bridge room every Monday and Thursday. Also for buying the prizes for the twice Monthly prize nights. He also helps with the Parties we have throughout the year. She went on to say what a great help Pat Owens, our catering manager, was in providing all the tea and buscuits every week. Thanks also went to Tom Hogarth and Ruth Savage for running the Monday andf Thursday evening sessions and scoring. Also that Tom runs the Website for everyone to see the results etc.
This year another member, Chris Panter, had learnt to score and later he will be able to learn to run an evening session.
She also thanked every member for making this such a friendly club.
3. Dates for our diaries as follows:
Christmas Party Monday 12 December
The club will be open 15th Dec and 20th Dec then closed until 5th January 2017
Mick turner Cup will be played over three weeks: 6th, 13th, 20th March 2017
Neil Smith cup will be played over three weeks: 9th, 16th, 23rd March 2017
We will be holding our Wine and Cheese evening on 10th April 2017
4. Treasurers Report
Norman Steadman went through the treasurers report, with everyone provided with a copy of the accounts.
The report was proposed as a true record.

5. AOB
The Chairman asked the members if The christmas party should be the same format as before, with her providing the catering from Waitrose or another outlet.
A vote was taken and everyone was in favour of keeping the same format.
Carried.
Kath Puddicombe proposed that thanks should be extended to the chairman for all her work in running the club.
Seconded by Hazel Morton.
Carried unanimously.
