At Hartford, near Northwich in Cheshire, we play duplicate bridge in a friendly but competitive way. We have evening and afternoon sessions run by TDs whose objective is to help everyone to have an enjoyable time amongst good company. We welcome all ages having members with ages ranging from 12 to over 90 and we offer a gentle introduction to duplicate bridge with our Thursday evening sessions.
The clubhouse has a private, lit car park with disabled parking and provides refreshments with a bar and hot/cold soft drinks.
By prior arrangement we can often arrange a partner and welcome visitors whether passing or local.

| THURSDAY EVENINGS NO FEAR, GENTLE DUPLICATE |
 |
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL BE RESTARTING ON THURSDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER
The No Fear, Gentle Duplicate aimed at players who have been taking lessons or who normally only play social bridge have been very successful and the players are now ready to play at nearly normal club session speed and with other club members. Players can come as a pair or by themselves (partners will be provided) and we will play duplicate using the normal equipment but at a restrained pace with experienced players available to answer questions and give advice. Please feel free to bring inexperienced friends as visitors as long as they understand the basics of the game either through tuition or social bridge.

| BRIDGEMATE SCORING |
 |
We have now purchased and successfully commissioned the Bridgemate wireless table scoring system. This has speeded up the production of the result of each session, has added more information to the result sheets (either on the notice board or online) to include the contract and the lead and helped to reduce inaccuracies. It also means that we no longer have to buy travellers and produce "runners and riders" sheets.
We would like to thank Councillor Musgrave and Cheshire West and Chester Council for a grant from the Community Fund of £400 towards the cost of the system.
