At Hartford, near Northwich in Cheshire, we play duplicate bridge in a friendly but competitive way. We have evening and afternoon sessions run by TDs whose objective is to help everyone to have an enjoyable time amongst good company. We welcome all ages having members with ages ranging from 12 to over 90 and we can offer teaching, through Tony Pickering, to those who are not yet ready to join in a full duplicate session. The clubhouse has a private, lit car park with disabled parking and provides refreshments with a bar and hot/cold soft drinks. By prior arrangement we can usually arrange a partner and welcome visitors whether passing or local. |

| OUR JUNIORS HAVE A GREAT EBU SCHOOLS CUP |
Our Junior members who attend the Grange School, John Nichols and Will Yeong, Frazer Cooke and Michael Higton played extremely well in the EBU English Schools Cup at Loughborough recently. They finished at +47 imps in the qualifying pool to reach the last 4 for the third year running, in so doing eliminating the home team. They drew Nottingham in the semi final, two of whom wore England Junior Bridge Team shirts, and beat them by 1 imp, Will describing the match as the best he had ever played. Sadly they lost the final by a close 12 imps to Haberdashers A. However, another excellent effort and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Simon Whitehouse
Congratulations to the excellent quartet from all Hartford members, Paul Mathews
