We have verbal permission from the Antique Centre to park a FEW cars in the Maplin/Antique Centre car park (entrance from West Park) for weekday evenings only - we DO NOT have permission to park there in the afternoons. The owners of the site are aware of this.
We are, as far as possible, asked to use the original eight parking spaces nearest the club which used to be marked by the red line. If these are full, use another space but please park sympathetically as the car parks are for the use of the shops’ customers and we don’t want to risk having the permission withdrawn.
Whilst it is not necessary to display the red parking discs which were issued by the former owners of the car park The Antique Centre has requested that we do so that they can monitor who is using the car park.
We have clarified the regulations with NYCC:
“Disabled badge holders continue to be able to park without time limit in any of the residential parking zones, regardless of the maximum stay times and they can also park free of charge and without time limit in on-street pay and display bays.”
This means that blue badge holders may park in the disc/permit spaces opposite the club at any time without time limit.
Please note the blue badges DO NOT apply to the Maplin car park
