Club Competitions Rules                 

Harrogate Bridge Club Competitions and the rules for entry

EVENING LEAGUE TROPHY

1. This will be a Multiple Teams Competition dates to be decided by Tournament Director
2. All teams will consist of four to six members of Harrogate Bridge Club.
3. No member may play in more than one team
4. It will be played on four designated dates

COLLINS TROPHY

This will be a single session event for teams of four all of whom must be below the rank of regional master. It  will also be the qualifying round for the Yorkshire Cup.

ILLINGWORTH ROSE BOWL

1. This is a pivot teams competition
2. All teams will consist of four members of Harrogate Bridge Club and contain at least one lady and one gentleman.
3. The precise format will be dependent upon the number of entries and will be determined by the Tournament Sub Committee.

ST DUNSTAN'S CUP

This will be a multiple teams event open to all clubs that have hosted St Dunstan's bridge players. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Charity.

EISEN TROPHY

1. This will be a pairs competition and will run for all Monday and Thursday evenings from 1st April to 31st March.
2. The top fifteen percentage scores will count for the final result and prizes will be awarded to the leading four pairs

LATHAM SALVERS

These will be awarded to the leading pair in the Eisen Trophy, both of whom are below the rank of Regional Master in the July Rankings, and who have not previously won the salvers

MARKS TROPHY

1. This will be a handicap pairs competition and will run for all Monday and Thursday evenings from 1st April  to 31st March.
2. Handicaps will be based on the previous year's results

HINTON TROPHY

1. This will be a pairs competition and will run for all Friday evenings from 1stApril to 31stMarch.
2. The top twelve percentage scores will count for the final result.
3. To be eligible, both players must be unranked or ranked  below Tournament Master in the July Rankings

Mayo Trophy

1. This will be a pairs competition and will run for all Wednesday evenings from 1st April to 31st March
2. The top twelve percentage scores will count for the final result.
3. Only pairs, both of whom are  below the rank of Master are eligible,

CLUB PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP

1. This will be a duplicate pairs competition open to all members of Harrogate Bridge Club.
2. It will be played on four designated Mondays and four designated Thursdays with the best three sessions with one partner counting.

PATON TROPHY

This will be a single session event for mixed pairs and is the qualifying event for the Yorkshire Mixed Pairs Competition.

MONICA CAMPBELL TROPHY  Ladies Pairs

This will be a one session event for ladies pairs.

MRS BLACK'S CUP

1. This will be a duplicate pairs competition for regular afternoon players
2. It will be played as a two session event on Monday Afternoons.

KENT TROPHY

1. This will be played for on all Monday and  Thursday duplicate sessions from 1stApril to31stMarch.
2. Scoring will be on a percentage basis with the best twenty scores (subject to rule 3 below)aggregated to produce an overall percentage. The winner will be the player with the highest overall percentage thus produced.
3. Of the twenty scores, not more than four may be with any one partner and at least eight partners must be used.
4. Only scores achieved with a member of Harrogate Bridge Club will count.

THE DEREK HEALEY TROPHY

1. This will be a pairs competition and will run for all Tuesday afternoons from 1st September to 31st March
2. The top twelve percentage scores will count for the final result.

MONDAY AND THURSDAY CUP

This will be awarded to the leading player in the Kent Trophy  who is below the rank of Regional Master in the July Rankings and who has not previously won this cup.

CLUB INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP

This will be a single session event open to all members of Harrogate Bridge Club and is the qualifying event for the Yorkshire individual competition

MCKENZIE TROPHY  ( Mens Pairs )

This will be a one session event for Mens pairs
