Only Full Members may compete for any Trophy.
Each Member must have played at least 12 times at any of the Club's
evening venues in the 12 months leading up to the Competition Date
Beaken Shield (Mixed Pairs).
Open only to mixed pairs. Non-handicap single evening event with arrow-switch if necessary, to achieve a single pair as winners. To take place at the Hampton venue.
Babette-Price Cup (Ladies’ Pairs).
Open only to ladies pairs. Non-handicap single evening event with arrow-switch if necessary, to achieve a single pair as winners. To take place on the same evening as the Edwards Rose Bowl at Hampton.
Edwards Rose Bowl (Men’s Pairs).
Open only to men’s pairs. Non-handicap single evening event with arrow-switch if necessary to achieve a single pair as winners. To take place on the same evening as the Babette-Price Cup at Hampton.
Chairman’s Cup (Pairs Ladder).
Open to all pairs. Non-handicap results over 12 months from 1st April to 31st March. The highest overall percentage achieved by a pair who have played together at any HDBC evening venue on 12 or more occasions during the year ( 1 April 2016 - 31 March 2017 ) .
Hampton Cup (Individual Performance).
Open to any member who has played with at least 6 different partners over the course of 12 months at any HDBC evening venue, from 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2017. The highest non-handicap score with each partner to count; the 6 best scores to count if the player has played with more than 6 partners. All partners must be Full Club Members meeting the qualification highlighted at the top of this page.
Robert Reid Cup (Handicap Pairs).
Open to all pairs. Handicap single event evening with arrow-switch if necessary, to achieve a single pair as winners. Handicap based on results gained by each Member over the previous 12 months on a rolling basis. To take place at Swalecliffe venue.
Ian Ottley Trophy (Handicap Regular Partnerships).
Open to all pairs who have played together at least 6 times in the previous 12 months at any of the Club's evening venues. Single event handicap evening with arrow-switch if necessary, to achieve a single pair as winners. The handicap is based on all the results gained by each member of the partnership over the previous 12 months. To take place at the St Dunstan’s venue.
Gala Trophy ( Handicap Pairs ).
Open to all pairs. Handicap single evening event with arrow switch if necessary to achieve a single pair as winners. The handicap is based on all results gained by each member of the partnership over the previous 12 months on a rolling basis. To take place at the St Dunstan's venue.
