Monday Evenings attract 80-120 members virtually every week, playing in up to 5 different rooms throughout the club.
Organising the Monday Evening Competitions, especially the David Lindsay Pairs, involves a lot of work and it would greatly simplify the task of the organisers if any pair due to play in such a competition on any particular evening indicated on the appropriate list on the club noticeboard that they were unable to play. This would then give organisers a decent impression of how many tables the competition would require and hence whether and where an alternative MPP event might be held.
