 Hamilton Bridge Club has a very healthy membership, currently around 250. The Club is well run by a Board consisting of elected members and they are ably assisted by volunteers from the membership who help with all the tasks required to ensure the smooth running of the club.
Members come from Hamilton and from surrounding areas.
Bridge is played Monday to Friday.
On Monday Evenings Match Pointed Pairs are played.
On Tuesday Mornings regular “Gentle Bridge” sessions are held where players of all ability can come along and either just have a game of Bridge or can receive some help and advice on Bidding and Playing from some of our more experienced players.
On Wednesday Mornings, Wednesday Evenings, Thursday Evenings and Friday Evenings, Pairs Tournaments and Competitions are held. Non-members are welcome to play in any event other than club competitions.
In addition Hamilton Bridge Club hosts regular Charity Events, National, SBU and District Competitions.
There are 5 comfortable playing areas:-
The Robson, Cadzow and Clyde rooms are situated downstairs at the front of the building with the Robson Room taking 8 tables, the Cadzow Room 6 tables and the Clyde Room 5 tables.
The Avon Suite is situated downstairs at the rear of the building and consists of two rooms joined by a connecting door with 4 tables in each room.
The Auchingramont Room, upstairs, is mainly used for classes but can be used for tournaments/competitions when required and holds 8 tables
Hamilton Bridge Club has teams playing in all Divisions of the Western and Lanarkshire Leagues. In addition the Club actively encourages all members to participate in National and District Competitions and Congresses.
