Improvers
Improvers Course

Learn to play Bridge with friendly and experienced Bridge tutor Mick Clark, now accredited by the EBU as a
'Professional Bridge Teacher'.

A new Improvers course starts each April.

This is a 27 week course and lessons will cost £30 for each block of 10 lessons plus £20 for the EBU course book “Continuing Bridge” which covers the full 27 week course.

Students start with a good knowledge of the basics of the game and by week 27 will be able to play an accomplished game of bridge. It is hoped that once the students have completed the improvers course they will start playing in sessions on a Tuesday afternoon (1pm) and a Wednesday evening (7pm) if they haven't already done so, but will be able to hold their own in any of the sessions held at the club.

Lessons are from 7pm until about 9.30pm, but if you can get there for 6.30pm Mick will do a quick revision of the previous weeks lesson.
N.B. Lessons alternate yearly between Tuesday and Thursday, starting in April 2017 they will be on a Tuesday, the following year (starting in April 2018) they will be on a Thursday.

Improvers Play Sessions

Improvers Play Sessions are run on a Thursday morning at 10am and Friday evening at 7pm (Downstairs). These sessions are relaxed and hosted.

Between 15 and 18 boards will be played depending on the number of tables.

Players can use crib sheets and ask the director for guidance.
