1. EWBA Pairs.
Congratulations to Steve Webb & Tim Barsby for winning the EWBA pairs event at the recent AGM event. They won both sections a really comprehensive victory.
Also congratulations to Mike Clarke & Guy Thomas for winning the handicap event for members below regional master at the same event.
2. Gwent Events.
In the Hinton Cup a large field of 33 pairs competed for the Hinton Cup for members below regional master. The winners on handicap were John Cording & Rosalie Dutta. Very well done.
The club teams are on Monday May 21st a one session event please sign the notice board entry form if your team is to take part.
In the Gwent League played once a month on a Friday evening the Chepstow Team came first with King Edwards winning the handicapped event.
3. Afternoon Bridge.
The club is now open on every other Friday afternoon starting at 1.00pm finishing around 4.00pm.
And just started the club is now open on a Thursday afternoon starting at 2.00pm finishing around 4.00pm. This session is intended for those members new to the game of bridge.
Both afternoons cost £1.50 with free coffee/tea and no partner is required.
4. EWBA/WWBA August Congress.
This year as well as the normal Swiss Pairs & Swiss Teams there is to be pairs event on the Saturday August 4th for members below regional master. Entry forms are available at the club.
