If you use ScoreBridge to produce Handicapped results, then you will need to bear in mind the following.

There are a number of options in ScoreBridge when including a Handicap file.

• Do you want to exclude from the handicapped result any pair with a non member (i.e. no join date)
• Do you want to exclude from the handicapped result any pair without a handicap

Handicaps are set at a player level, so the above applies if either or both players satisfy the rule.

When the results are uploaded, a flag for each pair is included showing whether to ignore a pair (handicap = -100) and if so Bridgewebs does not show this pair on the Ranking page.

In "Web Admin" - "Settings" - "Scoring", you can choose whether to show 2 pages, one with the results before handicap and one after handicap and excluding pairs as above. The idea of this is to exclude really strong players altogether and encourage the weaker players.
