• ACBL Section Handling - Release 2.16c
  • Improvements to the section handling for ACBL results.
• BridgeWebs Map - Release 2.16a
  • A new feature has been provided to locate Clubs using BridgeWebs web sites with a dynamic Google Map. This has been included as a link from the "Index of Clubs" or click Google Map. All clubs with Release 2.16 can add their club to the map, see Map Guide for more information on adding your club.
  • The "Find Us" page will also use the new feature if the coordinates have been entered.
  • Some clubs have been added to test out the feature, so it will just be necessary to check that the coordinates are correct.
• Butler Scoring - Release 2.16c
  • A problem when playing a small number of tables and using butler scoring has been corrected.
• Calendar Repeat - Release 2.16a
  • Instead of using the Calendar "Quick Update" feature, you can use a [Repeat] button to create future events.
• Calendar Repeat Button - Release 2.16b
  • Corrected non leap year problem which moved forward 6 days instead on 7 days.
• Committee Photographs - Release 2.16
  • You can add thumbnail photos to committee members
• Competition Buttons - New Release 2.16 (County Only)
  • An extra feature is now available to add buttons on Competitions for

    • Entry Form
    • General Info
• Competition Partners - Release 2.16
  • You can now choose whether in the must play with several partners competitions whether the "Best" or "First" is allowed.
• Competition Rules - Release 2.16
  • Extra options are now available to pick which score to use for a competition and you can select Total/Average for any of these.  
• Competitions Substitutes - New Release 2.16
  • You can now have Pairs competitions allowing substitutes. Using a complex algorithm it now decides whether a Player has played with a substitute and allows 1/2 depending on your settings.
• Contact Form - New Release 2.16
  • There is a new feature to allow you to add a "contact us" form on your web site. You can design it yourself which options to add several boxes and thus use for more than just a contact form. It could be used to enter people into competitions etc.

• Cookie Check - Release 2.16c
  • Bridgewebs checks whether cookies are working in Web Admin before allowing a login.
• County Competitions Pair Input - Release 2.16c
  • Where the auto substitute facility is being used, you can now enter valid pairs and override the auto calculation, especially useful in the early rounds of a competition.
• Document Upload CSV - Release 2.16c
  • Bridgewebs now allows spreadsheet csv files to be uploaded and displayed.
• Download Results - New Release 2.16
  • An extra option appears in the Members Only section to allow the member to download the results as a single file, particularly of use to users with a dial up connection. You can also use it yourself to retrieve the scorebridge file. For technical and security reasons this works by emailing you the relevant file as an attachment.
• Extra Characters & Symbols - Release 2.16a
  • In response to requests, the editor has been extended to allow symbols to be inserted into text. Next to the  icon, there is an extra  icon that allows you to choose non standard characters. This includes the bridge suits in 2 formats as symbols ? ? ? ? and fixed size icons    .
  • It also allows special characters such as ¼  €, or accents for use with other languages e.g. é   Å   á  
• Extra Competition Column - Release 2.16b
  • The competition page now shows an extra column with the total number of events qualifying for each player.
• Extra Name Option - Release 2.16c
  • There is a new option for larger clubs to show the first name followed by the first character of the surname on the Scorecards. e.g. John H & Peter P or Pam & John H.
• Extra Surname Option - Release 2.16c
  • A new option is available for large clubs to allow shortened names to be shortened to first (Initial Surname) such as John P and Mike J.
• Extra VP Competition - Release 2.16c
  • Ability to choose VP's for X-IMP competition
• Forgotten Admin Password - Release 2.16b
  • There is now a forgotten button which will email the registered administrator with the passwords.
• Form Emails - Release 2.16c
  • When using the form feature, three emails will be sent instead of one
  • First email - from the club to the user
  • Second email - from the user to the club, plus cc as necessary
  • Third email - from bridgewebs in plain format
  • The user address is taken from the input form
  • The "Club" address is taken from the Form setup, the second and subsequent emails will be added to the cc of the second email.
  • This will allow the user and you to reply to the appropriate email without having to cut & paste.
  • The third email is provided in case the user or your email have spam blockers preventing the pseudo email from being delivered.
• Form Features - Release 2.16b
  • An extra Dropdown option.
  • The ability to sort the choices
  • An option to add a PayPal button.
  • An option to specify the recipient other than the Administrator
• Forms Feature - Release 2.16d
  • Due to problems with Spam checkers, releasing the club's email addresses, security, incorrect emails and other reasons, the forms feature has been modified back again and two emails will be sent instead of one
  • 1st email - from bridgewebs to the user (one entered on form)
  • 2nd email - from bridgewebs to the emails (cc) as entered in the Form setup.
  • This no longer allows you to reply directly, you will have to cut and paste.
• Hand Deep Finesse - Release 2.16c
  • For those clubs pre-dealing hands and using Deep Finesse analysis, this can now be uploaded and shown on the Travellers.
  • This feature uses the feature of DealMaster to create a .txt file with this information. Then go to Web Admin and upload this .txt file rather than the dlm file.
• Hand Button - Release 2.16c
  • Following requests, an extra button has been included to allow members to see and print just the hands without the travellers.
• Hand Display - Release 2.16a
  • The answer is now shown after the main text.
• Hand Point Count - New Release 2.16
  • The point count for each hand now shows on the hands showing with the traveller.
• Hold News Item - Release 2.16
  • You can now click [Hold] / [Unhold] a News Item so that it remains in the same place while you work on it.
• Menu Structure - New Release 2.16
  • You can now change the menu to suit your own requirements, adding and moving pages to where ever you need.

• Min/Max Scores on Competitions - Release 2.16c
  • There is now an ability to override high/low scores in the competitions, e.g. set Minimum score to 40 and any score less than that will be set to 40, set Maximum score to 65 and any score more than that will be set to 65. Useful for encouraging weaker players who have a particularly bad week and ignoring particularly high scores.
• Minimum Events on Standard Comps - Release 2.16c
  • Ability to override the minimum qualifying events on a standard competition.
• News Item Administration - Release 2.16
  • The News Item Amend has been split to allow you to see the Word Processor and the Add Hand is on a separate Tab when used. Also the new Add Form is on a separate Tab.  When displaying in the web site, the Hand comes first, followed by the news, followed by the form.
• PDF Documents - Release 2.16b
  • Finally found a solution to make sure PDF documents display without having to move the mouse over the blank area. Also added a Help page on PDF's.
• Penalty Points - Release 2.16
  • Extra columns show in the Traveller if penalty points are present.
• People Option in Web Admin - Release 2.16
  • The "People" option now includes information on all the people data on your web site, whether entered manually, by member registration or the Scorebridge player file and you can amend any entry.
• People Sequence - Release 2.16b
  • The sort by sequence is numeric.

  • The sequence on People lists, committee etc. uses a true numeric sequence now.
• Picture Library - Release 2.16a
  • The picture library and use of pictures is now done with thumbnails to make it easier to select a picture. This includes

  • Adding a picture to a News item
  • In addition, you can now add several pictures to a News item. Use the "Add Picture" button or "Picture" tab once added.  Click to add a single picture, double click to start adding several pictures. Selected pictures will have a "red" border.
  • In the web site, these are presented as thumbnails allowing the user to click on one to show the bigger version.
• Picture/Document Options - Release 2.16
  • The list of Pictures/Documents now show the date of upload and there is an extra option to block delete Pictures/Documents.
• Player Alias - Release 2.16c
  • A quick way of setting an alias for a player for a competition where the player's name has been entered incorrectly in the results. Use Web Admin - Competitions - Player List
• Players List with EBU Link - Release 2.16
  • When the EBU number is shown, you can click on it to go direct to the EBU Master point site
• Rank Sequence - Release 2.16c
  • An error in calculating the position has now been corrected.
• Recent Changes Box - New Release 2.16
  • An extra box now shows under the menu showing the News pages that have been updated recently and the user can click and go directly to the changed page.
• Restrict Data on Form Page - Release 2.16b
  • For security reasons and to prevent misuse, the contact page checks and does not send an email if any data input on the form contains anything that looks like HTML.

  • Results can now be uploaded from other scoring software.
• Rolling Standard Competitions - Release 2.16d
  • A feature to specify a Rolling 12 month on standard competitions.
• Show = in Competitions - Release 2.16c
  • Check for the same scores in competitions and if any are equal, show appropriate position, e.g. 4=.
• Show Documents within Web Site - New Release 2.16
  • You can now upload a document and include it anywhere in the menu.
• Show Suit Symbols On Traveller - Release 2.16b
  • When showing Scorecards and Travellers S H C D now show as     on the Contract and Lead
• Simultaneous Events Hand Protection - Release 2.16b
  • There is a new option in the Calendar to protect results from showing Hands and Travellers when the event is being played in Simultaneous competitions. You can still upload the Results and Hands, BUT, instead of showing the Personal ScoreCards / Hands or Travellers, a message will be shown saying these are not available until the appropriate time.
  • Go to the individual event and next to ECATS, you can specify how many days to defer the display, e.g.
  • Next Day (i.e After Midnight) - protects if you play the event in the afternoon
  • 2 Days later - protects if you are playing a day early.
  • This applies whether it is an ecats event or non-ecats arrangement.
  • The ranking and matrix will still show but this does not give any clues about the hands themselves.
  • This is especially added for the Boston Bowl being run 27th - 31st October. If you play on Monday, use "4 days later". If you play on Friday, use "Next Day". Then the Hands will not show until midnight on Friday
• Standard Competitions - Release 2.16
  • You can now choose how many entries appear on the standard Individual & Partnership competitions.
• Theme Font - New Release 2.16
  • An extra option has been provided in the Themes to select the font for the page as well.
• Tick/Untick all in Competition dates - Release 2.16c
  • An extra facility together with a Start and End date for a competition to select e.g. all "Wednesday's"
• User Guide - New Release 2.16
  • A bridgewebs guide is now available which is a complete replacement for the Help pages, incorporating the present help and information relating to all the new features brought out during 2007, various support articles and those features planned for 2008. To avoid you looking for things that do not exist in 2.15a, the new features will be clearly marked.
• Web Administration Redesign - Release 2.16
  • The Web Administration has been completely redesigned to make it easier, in my opinion, to see which section you are in, with 2 clear layers and clear separate buttons for each administration option.
• Where & When Admin - Release 2.16
  • You can now use the Word Processor for boxes in the Where & When allowing you to embolden etc.
• Where & When Extras - Release 2.16
  • Separate extra boxes are now available for entering a Contact and Refreshments. The £ symbol has been replaced with a "pile of coins" to make it more universally acceptable.
