The "Hand of the Week" feature allows you to add a hand to a news page and describe how it should be bid or played. This can be a bit tricky using normal HTML editors, so this facility allows you to easily construct a hand and associated information. If you use pre-dealt hands, this is even easier, just pick the week and board number and it will automatically extract the hand from the dealfile.

When you view a "Page Item" you will see an "Add Hand" button as below. Bridgewebs will automatically look up to see whether you have any pre-dealt hands uploaded, if so it will list all these, you can choose the event and the board number required, or else just choose new.

You will then see something like below.

Now click on "Edit Hand" and this will open up a pop-up window looking something like below. You can now

• Select the cards for each hand. It will automatically move to the next player after 13 have been picked.
• Set the Vulnerability
• Set the Dealer
• Then enter the Bidding Sequence
• If this is a Quiz, select which hands to hide.
• Click on [OK] and it will return to the "News Item"
• Now enter your comments in the usual Editor
• and finally click [Save].

If you want to delete the "Hand" at any time from the "News Item" click [Delete Hand], this just deletes the hand, not the comments.
