The membership database is used for a number of purposes in Bridgewebs:

• Maintaining a record of all club members
• Used to determine whether a player is a member as far as competitions are concerned.
• Holding email details and Passwords to allow members to log on to the "Members Only" feature.

Competitions ¶1 see Restricted Competitions

Competitions can be marked as "Restricted" and the Membership database is used to determine the status of a player.
In a "Member Only" competition the status needs to be Member.

Club Extensions ¶2

Some clubs use Bridgewebs to store all their membership data and some extra fields marked (¶2 above ) have been added to assist in this. These club specific details are only used in Bridgewebs in the Member Lists and not checked in other ways. Go to Web Administration - Membership - Options to set.

The Club Status is a choice and can be set in Membership - Option, but not checked in Bridgewebs for any other purpose.
