A "Deal" file can be created in a number of ways according to the way in which software you use to pre-deal hands. Bridgewebs accepts several formats

• .dlm
• .dup
• .bri
• .pbn
• .txt (See Deep Finesse for more information.)

You can upload one of these deal files to the web site in a number of ways.

• "Scorebridge". If you have the "Deal" file, then you can attach the deal directly and it will be uploaded at the same time as the results.
• "Web Site" - "Upload Results". Either in advance or afterwards, you can attach the deal file to an entry in the Calendar or an uploaded Results.
• "Web Administration" - "Calendar". Either in advance or afterwards, you can upload the deal via the Calendar.

"ScoreBridge"

If you (the scorer) have the applicable "Deal" file, you can automatically upload this at the same time as results. Make sure you have attached the ""Deal" file to the event. On ScoreBridge, first retrieve the event and set the "Deal" file on the "Score Sheets" page.

• Select "Other Pages"
• Select "Score Sheets"
• Select "Deal"
• Select "Show Deal"
• Select the file in the usual way.
• PLEASE check that it is the right "deal file" for the event by checking a few hands against the scores for a board.

Then, when you upload the results, the deal file will go automatically as well.

"Web Site" - "Upload Results"

If you have the scorer password, you can go to the web site and upload the "Deal" file from the "Upload Results" option.

• Go to Web Administration menu entry
• Select "Update Results" just below
• Select the event in question
  • If you are loading after results have been uploaded, choose from the first dropdown
  • If you are loading in advance, choose from the second dropdown
• Against the "Deal" file, browse for the appropriate "Deal" file. See Browse Button for more information.
• Enter Password as necessary.
• Click [Upload]

"Web Administration" - "Calendar"

You can go to the web site and upload the deal file there.

• Web Administration
• Calendar
• Choose the event
• Half way down, use the [Browse] button to find, upload and attach the "Deal" file. See Browse Button for more information.
• Click [Save]
