There is a Bridgewebs option for the calculation of handicaps
When the competition are created
Rolling Handicap
First (this is regardless of the competition)
For each month, a handicap is calculated which is the average of all uploaded percentage results for the previous 12 months. Non standard pairs events, such as Teams are ignored. This is taken away from 50 to give the handicap for that month. Handicaps are calculated for each player, not a pair. Good players would get a negative handicap, weaker players get a positive handicap.

Second: (for each event included in the competition)
For each result in the competition, the result is taken and the handicap for that month for each player is added together and the average is added to the percentage and this is used for the competition. Note, a different handicap can thus be used for each event, this is as if the handicap is applied at the time that the event took place.
e.g.. (But see below)
Manual Handicaps
You can choose "Manual" handicaps and enter them yourself.
You need to create a list of players and handicaps, one name per line, percentage and cut and paste to Manual box. If cut and paste from spreadsheet, can be a "Tab" separator. e.g..
Alan Smith,5.17
John Smith, -0.2
Any missing players will be given the "Must have played x times" handicap, ignoring the "Must have..." aspect.
For each result in the competition, the result is taken and the handicap for each player is added together and averaged and applied to the result.
NGS Handicaps
If your club is affiliated to the EBU, you create competitions based on the NGS Grade. Choose "NGS" handicaps and [Save] the competition.
You need to enter your EBU NO and password into Settings - Site Details
Then Bridgewebs will give you boxes for each NGS Grade A♠, A♥ down to 2 and you can complete the Handicaps as you wish, you do not need to use the NGS Grade - 50.
Where Used (Manual Handicaps Only)
Normally Handicaps are applied to each result, but there are some circumstances, where you might just want to apply the Handicap to the Total. i.e. simply drop a player down -10 points.
Handicap Applied
Usually Handicaps are applied as an average of the the 2 handicaps, but you can adjust this, especially for Individual events where one player's handicap may depend on their partner.
