| Members: Starting December 1st, 2016, Grand Slam Membership will no longer be open to the public. Membership (Groupie Status) will no longer be solely based on attendance as it has been in the past, nor can membership be purchased. Instead, membership will be awarded based on many factors, including but not limited to: How long you have been playing at Grand Slam, how often you play, if you take lessons at Grand Slam, volunteer as a mentor, void of zero tolerance complaints, bring food to games from time to time, volunteer to help setup up or break down and many other factors. From time to time we review and update our membership roster. |
| Guest: If you live or snowbird in Buncombe or Henderson County and are not a member of Grand Slam, you are considered a guest if you are accompanied by a Grand Slam member. Members are limited to inviting the same guest twice per year. Guest, when accompanied by a member pay the member rate. Guest coupon required at checkin. |
| Tourist: If you do not live or snowbird in Buncombe or Henderson County, "Welcome to the area!" We love tourist and that is clear... Tourist are welcome to play in our games at the member price as often as they like. |
| 0-20: Games for beginners and Youth Bridge Players. Anyone with 20 or less masterpoints is welcome to play. Players may ask for guidance with bidding during the game. We often have a director just for the 0-20 game. |
| Visitor: We welcome visitors to our games. A visitor is someone that lives or snowbirds in Buncombe or Henderson County and is not a member of Grand Slam. See Members section above for questions about membership. |
| Youth: Grand Slam is one of the original Youth Bridge program providers in Buncombe County. From Elementary School through College, Youth are welcome to play in our game be it the 0-20 game or one of our regular games. |
