How Hill Trust

Congratulations to Jill Norris (& her partner Jane O'Dell) for winning the How Hill Charity event on Thursday18th April. Chris Lock & Bernard Holland were runners up.

Ormesby Bridge Club

We have close ties with another local bridge club, Ormesby Bridge Club.

The club meets every Friday at Bracecamp Hall, Ormesby at 6.55pm and play Duplicate Pairs.

Membership fee: £3.00

Table Money: £2.00

Visitors: £3.00

Details of the club's officers are contained within our Committee page and results from Ormesby Club will be reported alongside our results.

Welcome to the Gt. Yarmouth Bridge Club home page.

Gt.Yarmouth is the major seaside resort and the major port in Norfolk.

We play duplicate bridge on Monday evening at the Gorleston Conservative Club, 34 Pier Plain, Gorleston on Sea.

With effect from Monday 29th April 2019, players are asked to be in their seats by 6.50pm.

New Afternoon Bridge Club to start in Great Yarmouth

The New Wednesday  Afternoon Bridge Club starting in Great Yarmouth now runs from 1pm and running until approximately 4pm. It is hoped that both current players and those thinking of returning to the game may like to join us.

At the same time John continues to offer Bridge Lessons for both Beginners and Improvers and is often starting new groups with as few as 4 people in the group. The next group starting will be on Thursday Morning of the 15th February. Again please contact John for more information.

New Bridge Room Opened - On a Wednesday Afternoon -  No Fear Bridge Session 13.00pm to 16.00pm at 46 North Drive, Great Yarmouth. Opportunity to get help with bidding and play in a very relaxed environment - aimed mostly at beginners to Intermediate standard - Charge £4 - No partner required but important to let John know you will be there.
Intermediates / Club Players every Thursday 9.30am - 12 noon - We work on a chosen subject with teaching for 30 minutes and play for 2 Hours to improove your understanding. If you fancy coming along to try - and you don't enjoy it there will be no charge.

How Hill Trust Charity Event
On Thursday 18th April a number of GYBC members took part in a charity bridge event in aid of the How Hill Trust, a renowned environmental educational charity.
The Trust offers residential & day course for children and adults in the Norfolk Broads National Park.
The event took place at How Hill House where a session of Chicago bridge was played in the morning with more bridge played in the afternoon after an enjoyable lunch.
GYBC members achieved great success with Jill Norris, who was partnered with her sister Jane O'Dell, coming top and Chris Lock & Bernard Holland runners up.
