Preparing for play
Preparing for play Could we politely remind members that, where possible, it is a great help if they can arrive by about 6.45 on Mondays so that play can start promptly at 7.00.  This gives the director time to organise the movement and prepare the tables.  It is fully appreciated that work, buses, unforseen circumstances etc can make people late, and this is no problem at all, but if you can, then an early arrival helps.  Many thanks.

We are also grateful to SBU Highland for grant aid received

Grantown Primary School Success!
Grantown Primary School Success!

Two teams from Grantown Primary joined 21 other teams for an inter-school mini-bridge competition in Elgin on Tuesday, April 19th.

In spite of only having had time to complete 6 of the 8 weekly lessons, one of the Grantown teams finished in a brilliant 5th place!

Congratulations to Zac Marshall, Freddie Talbot-Heigh, Devon Martin and Josh Barret.

Well done also to the other team and all members of P7, P6/7 and P5/6 for doing so well during the 7 weeks of the mini-bridge course

Highland District Away Day to Stornoway

Highland District has arranged a bridge "outing" to Stornoway, as an opportunity for "ordinary" bridge players, and learners, to get the kind of travelling bridge experience which the more competitive players have on a regular basis. This is to be on 24/25May, with opportunity to do some sightseeing and play bridge with the local club in the evening.

Should be fun!

League Matches

Our final match for the season, against Ness B, resulted in a 7 - 5 loss.

This makes our total point count for the season 24.

Now we must wait and see if that's enough to stay in League 2!
