Preparing for play
Preparing for play Could we politely remind members that, where possible, it is a great help if they can arrive by about 6.45 on Mondays so that play can start promptly at 7.00.  This gives the director time to organise the movement and prepare the tables.  It is fully appreciated that work, buses, unforseen circumstances etc can make people late, and this is no problem at all, but if you can, then an early arrival helps.  Many thanks.

We are also grateful to SBU Highland for grant aid received

Grantown on Spey Bridge Club is a small, friendly and welcoming club in the beautiful location of the Cairngorms National Park.

If you wish to join us for a game of bridge in Grantown, check out the details of where and when we meet by using the Information link on the left.

2017 Strathspey Trophy

Cairngorm Club hosted us for the 4th Strathspey Trophy event and provided a wonderful afternoon of good company with excellent catering, giving us an excellent lunch before play and a delicious afternoon tea at half-time.

The bridge was played in excellent spirit, with Grantown taking an early lead which they just managed to hang on to in spite of a strong comeback by Cairngorm.  The final score of 9 - 3 to Grantown was a welcome reverse of last year's result!
