Weekend Pairs Events
County Pairs Final 2019

Qualifying rounds for this can take place at any affiliated club, and the GCBA will also hold a heat on Monday 28th January 2019.

From any qualifying round, the top half of the field (including ties, but no substitutions for drop-outs) will qualify.  People may play in as many heats as they like, with as many partners as they like - but if they qualify they must choose with whom to play.

The final will be an all-play-all event of roughly 40 boards, and will be held at Cheltenham Bridge Club on Saturday 30th March 2019 with a late morning start.

Ace of Clubs Final, 2019

All affiliated clubs in the County are allowed to hold heats from which to qualify pairs to play in thie event.  The rules for qualifying are being reviewed and will be announced soon. 

The final, to which only players below National Master rank will be accepted, is a single session matchpoint pairs event taking place on Sunday 14th April 2019.

AGM Pairs 2019 - Steve Darke Salver

This matchpoint pairs competition takes place immediatelty after the AGM on Sunday 12th May 2019.  This will be run as a stratified pairs event, with pairs split roughly into three categories in accordance with NGS ratings.  There will be prizes for the best performance in each stratum. 

Green Point Swiss Pairs 2019

The Gloucestershire and Herefordshire weekend pairs event will be held on Saturday 20th July 2019. The venue is the Larruperz Centre Ross-on-Wye.
