This is played as a normal club evening, with no requirement for entries in advance.

Cumulative events finalised at the end of the year

Fleming Cup, President's Cup

These are awarded to the pairs with the highest cumulative scores over the season.

The Fleming Cup goes to the winners and the President's Cup to the runners-up.

This is an Annual Major Championship, attracting an aggregate bonus to the winning pair of 225 local points, with awards being made to the top third of qualifiers in equal decrements.

The score is calculated as the average of the best 12 percentage scores from all club night match pointed pairs events played on 16 nominated nights between the opening night and the week preceding the annual dinner .  A pair must play a minimum of 12 events to qualify.

Interim ranking is calculated on a weekly basis and posted under the "Competitions" button on the website.

Frances Mackie Trophy

This is awarded to the pairs with the highest cumulative scores achieved in SBU and club pairs competitions.

The score is calculated as the average of the best 4 percentage scores from all qualifying competitions played throughout the season.  A pair must play a minimum of 4 of these events to qualify.

Irene Mundel Individual Trophy (Handicapped)

This is awarded to the individual with the highest cumulative score over the season, with handicaps applied to all players on the basis of their performance in the preceding season.

The score is calculated as the average of the best 20 percentage scores from all match pointed pairs events played on and between the opening night and the week preceding the annual dinner .  A player must play a minimum of 20 events to qualify.

Interim ranking is calculated on a weekly basis and posted under the "Competitions" button on the website.

Cunningham Trophy

This will be awarded to the player, ranked 2-star master or below, with the highest handicapped average over the season.

Autumn Pairs

Clubs nominate a date during October and the event is played as a normal club pairs night, with each club playing its own set of hands (i.e. it's not a simultaneous pairs event).

Percentage scores are collated across Scotland at the end of October.

Local Points are awarded for club heats (x2 club scale).  For the overall ranking list, bonus MP awards are made to the top third of the field with a top award of 500 Local Points.

Easter Pairs

Clubs nominate a date during March and the event is played as a normal club pairs night, with each club playing its own set of hands (i.e. it's not a simultaneous pairs event).

Percentage scores are collated across Scotland at the end of March.

Local Points are awarded for club heats (x2 club scale).  For the overall ranking list, bonus MP awards are made to the top third of the field with a top award of 500 Local Points.
