| Bill Garnsey Cup |
In memory of Bill, a new cup, the Bill Garnsey Cup, has been donated to the club by Joy Garnsey. In line with Bill's wishes, the cup will be awarded annually to a club member based on two criteria, namely skill at playing bridge and committment to the club by regular attendance. The third award will be based on 2025 results. The other cups to be awarded this year will be the 2025 Wednesday Ladder Cup, the Ladies Pairs Cup and the Mixed Pairs Cup.

| Reaching far and wide |
We are looking forward to welcoming back to GXBC Sister Catherine of the Community of the Sisters of the Church in Gerrards Cross. Catherine has been seconded to the Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean
for a number of months where she has been teaching, but also enduring very basic living conditions, great heat and humidity and, of course, mosquitoes. Sister Catherine first went to the Solomon Islands in
1994 so it will be interesting to hear what improvements have been made since then. She is very modest about her achievements but we are sure she will be pleased to answer any questions our Members may have.
