Remember, most incorrect entries are due to the Travellers being completed incorrectly. These errors have reduced dramatically with the introduction of the electronic scorers. Note that any queries and appeals about possible errors should be made (preferably by email) to the Director responsible for the session within 48 hours. Thank you.
We have recently purged the members database and it is now up to date. We are pleased to note that the vast majority of members have furnished us with an email address. This will be the main line of communication that we will be using in the future. It is quick, efficient and secure. If you have not yet received an email from us and believe that you have supplied us with your email address then please email Jim or Larry (see panel above) and we will check it out. Thank you.
Winchester Royal Hotel
We are delighted to announce that we have managed to book this prestigious hotel for the Autumn break in 2019.
This hotel proved very popular two years ago and we look forward to welcoming you there once again..
The Winchester Hotel was originally buit in the 16th. C. as a private house. It has since been a Bishop's house and a Benedictine Convent. For the past 160 years it has been a hotel and is situated in the ancient city of Winchester close to the historic Cathedral, shops and riverside walks.
We are very pleased with the number of bookings already made to date, but please remember to book soon in the next few weeks to guarantee your place. Bookings must be made on the official booking form which can be accessed by clicking here or a hard copy is available from the club.
We meet on Tuesday afternoons in the Garden Room, and Friday afternoons in the Colston Hall at Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre from 1.30pm until about 4.30pm.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly and accessible club and visitors are most welcome. We operate a host system so you can be sure of a game if you come without a partner. (This facility is available for a limited number of sessions in any one year and cannot be used on a regular weekly basis.)
Table money is £5 (£7 for non-members) including tea and biscuits.
We play computer generated hands and hand records are available to take away.
The annual subscriptions will now be due on Jan 1st each year. However, those who have already paid, from Oct 2018 to Sep 2019, will not have to renew until Jan 2020. The current membership fee is £5.00 and will remain at that level throughout the year. Please click here to download a membership form for completion. Thank you.
Our recent introduction of electronic scoring at both the Tuesday and Friday sessions has gone very well. In fact, so well that we need to purchase more to keep up with the demand!
We would like to thank everyone for your perseverence in learning to use the electronic scorers, and also for your positive feedback to date on the changes we have introduced to the bridge sessions.
The Friday sessions have been well attended and thank you for coming.
However, we would love to welcome you on a Tuesday afternoon also.
It's good fun and is run in the smaller hall which holds up to ten tables.
Larry & Jim
