We trialled the BriAn electronic scoring App with Victor Lesk's help on Mon 6 February.  This App is free to the end user and the club pays for usage per game.  If introduced at the club, it will not mean any increase in table fees.

The main advantages of BriAn include rolling and instant results, display of full hand record and what contract can be made after a board has been played, and display of the traveller - i.e. what other pairs bid and made on that board.

Multiple users at a table can have BriAn and view the information.  On the other hand, if someone doesn't want to score or view this info, they are not obliged to have the App.

Therefore the disadvantages could include perhaps feeling 'left out' if the person with the BriAn App does not share this info with the rest of the table - although we could make it part of courtesy at the club to offer everyone to view any of the info available.
