| Bridge Lessons |
We are delighted to announce that our club will soon be introducing lessons for people new to bridge or with limited experience of the game who wish to acquire a good foundation.
The 10 Week Course will be taught by our Club Captain, Mike Scott, a qualified Bridge Teacher and an Associate Member of the English Bridge Teachers Association, EBTA.
♠ COURSE START: Monday 27th July 2026, 3:00pm – 5:10pm
♥ DURATION: 10 weekly lessons. Planned 2-week summer break 24th + 31st Aug
♦ LOCATION: Formby Bridge Club, Dove Centre, nr Formby Station car park.
♣ COST: £80 for all 10 weeks. Refreshments will be provided at the halfway point of each lesson.
WHY THIS COURSE?
Mike will deliver a structured 10-week course that gets you to the bridge table with confidence.

BOOK YOUR PLACE
♦ NEXT STEP AFTER THE COURSE:
On completion of the course, you’re invited to our guided Monday sessions, 3pm-5pm in the same room. You’ll have friendly support while you settle in until such time as you’re ready to join the regular club games with confidence. Standard club table money £3.50 will be charged for the guided bridge sessions.

Unfortunately one of the helpers couldn't be in the picture as she was on the other side of the camera. Well done Zaga for capturing everyone in perfect happy poses!
The club members had a great evening and particularly enjoyed the food provided by Gillions, whose cheesecake is beyond compare!

Looking for something interesting to do in Formby?
We play friendly duplicate bridge and are affiliated to the EBU.
Members meet on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:50 for 7:00 start.
Refreshments: - tea, coffee and biscuits will generally be served every club night.
We run three club competitions every year between October and March. Competition winners receive their prizes during the Annual General Meeting which happens in April.

Please note that we have a duty of care to all of our members, so please do not come to the club to play bridge if you are feeling unwell or have a condition that could be passed on to others. Some of our members are very vulnerable and if you turn up to play and are showing signs of cold or flu like symptoms, you will be politely asked to leave.
