IMPORTANT

A reminder of some comments made at the AGM. 

Will members please try & park tidily 'cos when we have a full house parking becomes somewhat cramped. 

Also a reminder for members to help in the kitchen - particularly towards the end of the evening.  It is not unusual for the director to spend a considerable amount of time clearing up after play.   If there is a half table, can the last non-playing half ensure the kitchen is clear before they leave.

Welcome to Ewhurst & Ellens Green Bridge Club, a friendly Club situated on the Surrey/Sussex border.  We are an EBU affiliated club & play a mixture of duplicate bridge, eg. individual pairs, teams events as well as County and World Wide simultaneous pairs events.

The proposal at the EGM was unaminously accepted.  As a result Derek Gardner remains as Club Chairman.  An updated Club Constitution has been posted on this website.

AGM

The most significant result of the AGM is that The Membership agreed with the Committee for The Club to remain affiliated to the  EBU.  Continued membership of the EBU will be reviewed next year when the benefits of the P2P are better known.

The other prime item at the AGM is that the Membership took much pleasure in supporting The Committee in voting Betty Gale as an Honorary Member.

Reminder

 A UNICEF simultaneous pairs event in aid of the HIATI disaster fund will be played on Jan.29th.  All contributions welcome.

Come to BridgeA long time since we played, hopefully the weather is about to improve so we can start playing again.  This Friday (22nd) looks ok so far !!
