The EBU is keen that the Counties promote the services of its new Charity EBED. To quote from a Letter of 17th November 2015 to County Chairmen:-

• The charity English Bridge Education & Development (EBED) has been in existence for a little over 18 months, and we are keen to build upon the awareness of the charity throughout our membership. As you know, EBED manages educational programmes and support for teachers, and also provides Tournament Director training for Clubs and Counties.
• It is important that information on the charity’s activities, both in the broad sense and for Clubs and Members to find specific technical information which may be useful to them (eg information on TD courses and Club Teacher Training Courses), can be easily found. This information, which was previously on the EBU website, has now been transferred to the EBED website www.ebedcio.org.uk.
