SNOW Policy

EBC follows the Lake Washington School District snow closures.  Generally, if schools are closed so are we.  We will do our best to up date the website in the early morning hours to let you know when there is snow, if we are closed.

Beginning Bridge Classes - The Club Series
Designed for absolute beginners, this class will teach you the basics necessary to bid and play bridge with others. The 8-week curriculum is based on the Club Series by award-winning teacher and author Audrey Grant and approved by the ACBL, and includes some lecture, much discussion, practice applying new bidding skills, snacks, laughter, and playing bridge.

Play of the Hand/Competitive Bidding - Diamond Book (Club Series) Not Offered Spring 2018

Designed for those who have the basics, this class will teach you to play your hand & bid competively when others are in the auction, preemptive bidding, overcalls, takeout doubles & negative doubles. The 8-week curriculum is part of the Club Series by award-winning teacher and author Audrey Grant & approved by the ACBL, and includes some lecture, much discussion, practice applying new bidding skills, snacks, laughter, and playing bridge.  Class requires minimum of 8 students.

Defense Play - Heart Book (Club Series) NA this session

Designed for those who have been playing awhile, and want to improve the most under-appreciated part of the game.  This class will work through defensive leads, defensive bidding & communication with your partner.  The 6-week curriculum is part of the Club Series by award-winning teacher and author Audrey Grant & approved by the ACBL, and includes some lecture, much discussion, practice applying new techniques.

2/1 Game: - Start your 2/1 Learning with this 8 week program
This is new class.  Tom Carmichael will be presenting a comprehensive learning of  2/1 bidding & defending system.   We expect this class to be particularly popular, please sign up quickly.

Fun Bridge -- Saturdays
Come at 9:30am every Saturday for a mini-lesson on various topics and play bridge. This game is for 0-20 masterpoint players who want to have fun learning to play duplicate. YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS of the instructor as you bid! New players are WELCOME!
