Bridge is a trick taking game of skill and chance played by four players who form two partnerships; the partners sit opposite each other at the table.

On lessons you will be paired with another member of the class.

You are of course welcome to join with one or more friends. 


IMPROVE YOUR BRIDGE PLAY

WITH INTERMEDIATE LESSONS

Tues 11th June lesson is on Signalling, showing Attitude, Count and Suit preference.

Tues 25th June lesson is on Weak Jump Overcalls. .

Lessons will take place on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each Month 7.30-9.30pm.
Subjects will include Red Suit Transfers, defence to 1NT "Doubled", Fourth Suit Force, Cue and Splinter bids, Two Suited Overcalls and many more Gadgets.
You will also be taught planning your play to a higher level including Declarer Play and Counting by Declarer. Also for the Defence there are Discards to tell Partner Suit Preference.
Each lesson is on a seperate topic not a continuation of an earlier lesson.

Each lesson is £10.00 and includes tea/coffee and biscuit break.

FROM BEGINNER TO BRIDGE CLUB STANDARD

SUPERVISED BRIDGE PLAY

WEDNESDAYS 2.30-4.30pm

THURSDAYS 7.30-9.30pm

Interesting hands are made up in advance to practise both bidding and play. A copy of the hand and suggestions on how the bidding and play could have gone can be seen after each hand has been played.

A copy of all hands played including relevant comments is given out at end of the lesson.

These sessions should be useful practise for all who have been taught or played bridge for 6 months or more. Hands will range from bidding games and slams to pre-emptive bids and overcalling opponents opening bid.
