I am very sad to report that Esme Joyce died on Saturday February 14th. Esme had played at the club since its inception, always kind, generous and considerate. Esme was a formidable player. often partnering Elizabeth Steel, most recently just a few weeks ago. Our condolences to friends and family,

With great regret we also report that Trish Elston has died on January 15th, following a struggle with cancer. Trish played bridge locally for about 40 years, and was a regular at Capel until fairly recently. Our condolences to family and friends, The funeral will be at 11.15 on Saturday 7th March at Hawkinge Crematorium, then at Hythe Bowls Club.
