     AFTERNOON                  LEAGUES                       EVENING

                                               (for the Edna Toon Trophies)

Nine sessions, one each month from September 2007 to May 2008 on the third Wednesday of the month, starting at 2.00 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.

       19 September              17 October                  21 November

       19 December               16 January                  20 February

       19 March                       16 April                       21 May

Rules:

There are nine sessions. Pairs cut for starting position.

Scoring is by Cross Imps (this is similar to Teams scoring) to generate a score for each pair on a scale of 0 - 20 (Victory Points).

At the end of the competition, a pair's six highest scores will be added together.  A pair that has played in all nine sessions will be able to discard its three lowest scores.  The pair with the highest total wins.

A substitute (not a member of a competing pair) may be used.  But only one score obtained with a substitute will count towards a pair's total.

Individuals may play in the Afternoon League and the Evening League, but must do so with different partners.

While the sessions on the third Wednesday of the month are primarily for these Leagues, the sessions are also open to those not taking part in the Leagues.

In the event of a dispute, the Events Director or the Club Captain should be consulted.
