Dunbar Bridge Club meets on Thursdays evenings at West Barns Bowling Club and runs match pointed, aggregate, individual and team competitions. Please arrive promptly for a 7.15 start.
We welcome visitors. Please contact Bett Morrison (01620 810429) if you need a partner.
On 23rd May (Pilley 3), WBBC will not be available due to the European elections. As the Day Centre is also unavailable, the bridge that evening will be held at Dunbar Golf Club.
For non golfers and non Dunbar residents among you, the club is situated at the eastern end of the town. Take the road from the Spott (Asda) roundabout into Dunbar, turn right at the T junction at the end, then first left after 400 yds into Golf House Road (opposite John Bald Undertakers). Do not drive into the North Sea, but turn right at the bottom into the entrance road to the golf club.
The Congress will be held on Sunday 29th September at 1.00 at the Bleachingfield Centre, Countess Crescent, Dunbar EH42 1DX. The total cost for the day is £25. Click here for an entry form with more information. A link to an online entry form is under “Congress” in the left hand menu.
Congratulations to Skateraw, who have gained promotion to Division 1 next season. The Dunbar team will remain in Division 3.
The committee would like to emphasise the importance of keeping the boards on the table in full view at all times, always in the correct orientation. When N has entered the scores, E or W must take the trouble to check that they are correct, particularly on arrow switched rounds. Also, before the bidding starts, N must make sure that the correct boards are being played, by checking either the bridgemate or the table card.
