Introduction to Classes

Diana King and Phil Green are highly experienced Bridge teachers who are professional members of the English Bridge Union Teachers’ Association.

They play Bridge at club and county level and are founder members of a successful Bridge Club.

The tuition is run independently from, but supported by, the trowBRIDGEclub.

Most classes are held at Trowbridge Rugby Club and last for three hours with a break for refreshments.

Summer Workshops

Workshops are held during the summer months on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings at Trowbridge Rugby Club.

Beginners' Classes

Beginners’ Classes are for people who are complete beginners; those who have had some lessons in the past; or played many years ago and wish to refresh and update their knowledge. They run for two terms in the Autumn and Spring with revision workshops on a monthly basis during the summer.   They are held on Thursday at at 9.30 a.m.  The second half of each session involves supervised play of hands designed to illustrate the lesson topic.  Classes are held in Chippenham

Improvers Classes

Improvers’ classes are primarily for players who have successfully completed the previous year’s Beginners’ course. However, they are also suitable for people who are in the early stages of the game and wish to improve and learn the latest systems. They run for two terms in the Autumn and Spring with revision workshops on a monthly basis during the Summer.  They are held on Thursdays starting at 9.30 a.m. They run for three hours with a break for refreshments.  The second half of the session involves supervised play of hands designed to illustrate the session topic.  Classes are held at Trowbridge Rugby Club

Advanced Classes for Club Players

Advanced Classes are for people who play regularly in Clubs and wish to learn the latest and more sophisticated systems; also to perfect their play.  They run on a monthly basis during the Autumn and Spring terms at Trowbridge Rugby Club.

 Bespoke tuition is also available at any time, on any topic, for small or large groups of Bridge players
