For each of the regular pairs duplicate sessions (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon, Wednesday evening, Thursday and Saturday) a monthly prize is awarded, the winners being present with an engraved glass tankard, tumbler or tall glass or a £5 "Love2Shop" voucher.
The competition is based on aggregate percentage scores in each of the first four events in the month but a handicap is applied as follows:
Note that when Teams Matches are played on a Wednesday Evening a conversion is made from final IMPs score to percentage scale based on maximum IMPs per match of 20 (for 1 or 2-board matches) or 25 (for 3 or more board matches) or notional percentage scales for Knockout and Pivot semis and finals so that all players can potentially qualify for the Monthly Prize.
When Thursday League and Cup matches are played on an evening when a normal Pairs session is played simultaneously then a conversion is made from the Teams VP results to percentage scores using an agreed scale (see Deva Bridge League Rules) and those scores are then combined with the simultaneous Pairs Session scores so that all players can potentially qualify for the Monthly Prize.
The current prize scores are shown in the menu.
N.B. The way BridgeWebs works means that the handicap is shown as a minus figure and the aggregate and event scores are shown after this minus score has been "added".
