Derby Bridge Club is the oldest established Bridge Club in Derbyshire. We play at the East Midlands Bridge Centre in Spondon (see DCBA in Useful Links for details) .

Duplicate Bridge is played on Tuesday evenings, and Monday and Wednesday afternoons and we welcome all visitors and prospective new members. A host system is in operation on Mondays and most Tuesdays. We go out of our way to try to ensure no-one goes home without a game!

Children in Need event will be held on Monday 14 November (afternoon).  More details in item below.

Derby Bridge Club AGM will take place on Tuesday 25 October at 6.30 pm.  Please would members attend.   After the AGM, there will be free bridge.

After many years of service to the club, Arnold and Sandra have decided to stand down as Secretary and Treasurer.   Therefore we need some new blood to take on these roles.  

Nominations for the posts of Officers or Committee members need to be in writing (with the consent of the nominee) - see form on notice board.   The form needs to be signed by a proposer and a seconder, both of whom are members of the Club.    Nominations should be made at least one week prior to the AGM (Tuesday 25 October).

As usual on the fourth Tuesday of the month we will be running 2 events - normal Derby Tuesday and a separate event for Improvers with fewer boards, slower pace and an earlier finish.

Experienced pairs may be asked to split up and other pairs are encouraged to try playing with a different partner.

This year's event will be held on Monday afternoon November 14 2016.

All are welcome.  Normal table fees but 'rounding up' will be encouraged and all money will go to Children in Need.   

EBU have agreed to waive pay-to-play fee.
