We are pleased to include this new feature on our website.
'Interesting Hands' is open to any club member. You can ask for commentary on a hand / hands or provide commentary on a hand / hands yourself.
Commentary may involve any or all of of these options: Bidding, Declarer Play, Planning and Defence.
Currently our club does not offer lessons or training but the 'Interesting Hands' feature provides more opportunities to think about our bridge.
Solving specific hand problems helps us to have an increased understanding of the game which in turn improves our play.

Peter has provided the first such hand and it is now displayed on the website. Please click on the "Interesting Hands" tab in the Menu Bar on the left.

| MATCH AGAINST RUGBY BRIDGE CLUB |

An away match has been arranged against Rugby BC. It will take place on Monday 21st November at 7pm at a location they have yet to decide. We intend it to be competed by eight pairs from each club. If you would be interested in representing our club then please let Terry Bradbury know, preferably as soon as possible as he is shortly disappearing off to Portugal. He will select the team from all the volunteers and advise accordingly. Replies are welcome in person, by phone at 01788-890556 or email at winesof.quality@virgin.net.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE OFFERED FOR SALE BY HUGH WILLIAMS:
SOFTWARE
A copy of QPlus Bridge 7.1 This is an old version of this program but Mr Bridge has an offer which lets you trade in old software for the latest version.
His current offer is - send in any old bridge software with a cheque for £50 and you will get the latest version of QPlus: version 11 is available now for £99 and version 12 will be available at the end of October.
BOARDS
A set of 32 boards, not all of which match:
1 to 16 match These are all yellow
17 to 32 match These are all blue
Each of the boards contains cards, but I haven’t checked the condition of the cards
BOOK
A copy of ‘Better Hand Evaluation’ by Bernard Magee
I’m looking to get rid of these items and will accept whatever anybody wants to offer me for any or all of them. Any money received will go to charity; probably The Alzheimer’s Society.
