You do not need to attend all of the sessions at the club in Barrow, so if you're not available for any of the above dates you can attend that session at a different venue at a different time - the current list of courses scheduled elsewhere can be found at http://www.ebedcio.org.uk/td-course-calendar.  The cost of the first three modules is £45 each and the cost of the assessment is £54 for EBU affiliated club members - if you're interested in attending check with your club to see if they are happy to fund your training.

Anyone attending the Club TD course will need to have a copy of

the 2007 lawbook  - download here http://www.ebu.co.uk/laws-and-ethics/laws-2007
the “blue book”      - download here http://www.ebu.co.uk/laws-and-ethics/blue-book

Anytime you spend in advance on familiarising themselves with the general contents and layout of the rule book will be very helpful when it comes to the practical simulations during the modules when each student will be asked to find the right wording in the book and apply it to the situation at the table.

EBED also always encourage prospective TD’s to watch the videos on the EBU website http://www.ebu.co.uk/laws-and-ethics/td-videos to see how the most common “book ruling” situations should be handled. These videos also provide some guidance on table presence for directors (EBED think we are all conscious of how many players are wary of calling the TD or react badly when a TD is called to their table).

The address of Barrow Bridge Club is 1 Drake Street, Barrow, LA14 5RG.
