Lytham St Annes If you are looking to play competitive Duplicate Bridge in a warm and friendly atmosphere in one of the best Bridge rooms in the North West.....then Clifton Bridge Club, located in the Ansdell area of Lytham St Annes is the Club for you! We welcome new members, prospective members and visitors to the area. Bridge is played every evening except Sunday and also on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. All afternoon and Wednesday evening sessions are designated "No Fear" events. These sessions are relatively relaxed about the number of boards to be played to help newer and slower players. All members are welcome to these "No Fear" sessions but are asked to be mindful of the needs of less experienced pairs. The Friday afternoon session is a little different - help is available with decisions about bidding and play and time is available to review and learn from the hands played. Please be seated 15 minutes before the designated start time to allow the TD to set up the movement; i.e. by 1.15pm for the afternoon sessions and by 7.15pm for the evening sessions. Although we do not have Hosted Sessions (except Friday afternoon), we can usually provide you with a partner if we know in advance....just call the Club Secretary, Dave Johnston, on 01772 561596. We have one of the most comprehensive Bridge Training programmes in the UK. We run Beginners' Classes where absolutely NO previous experience of playing the game is required and you don't need a partner. We also regularly hold Improvers's classes for the more experienced players.
