Clevedon and Portishead Bridge Clubs were established by Colin and Lesley Floyd in 1992 and 1997 respectively. The two clubs later moved to the same premises in Portishead but continued to maintain separate identities.
On 1st August 2017 it became a single member owned club affiliated to the EBU and plays duplicate events every Wednesday and Friday evening beginning at 7.10pm. EBU masterpoints are issued.
Wednesday evenings results are subject to a handicap derived from EBU NGS Rankings.
We generally have 8-10 tables on a Wednesday and 4-5 on Friday and aim always to play 27 boards. It is normally not necessary to have a partner and you should contact Peter Webb, who will help you find one.
During the winter months a separate 'Gentle Duplicate' session is run by Clevedon Golf Club on Monday afternoons starting at 2.00pm. All bridge club members are welcome to attend and the session is also designed to introduce less experienced players to duplicate events.
