PLAY BRIDGE...AND TRAVEL THE WORLD!
PLAY BRIDGE...AND TRAVEL THE WORLD!

DAVID Price has been selected to represent the England senior team in the World Mind Sports Games being staged in Beijing this October.

The bridge ‘Olympics’ happens once every four years and Clare’s top player will partner Colin Simpson with whom he finished sixth in the European championships held in Pau during June.

“Fortunately I will be spending most of my time indoors so the smog should not get me,” he joked.

David is due to spend up to a fortnight in China, depending on the success of the six man seniors team. So far 40 teams have been entered for the senior event by national bridge federations around the globe.

“I have been to various places around the world which I would probably have never gone to if it were not for bridge. When I played in New Zealand’s national championships I managed to also take a week’s holiday there. Likewise, a trip to Alberquerque enabled me to spend a week driving through Arizona which was an amazing experience.”
