BIG NEWS!!!

Special games for April:

Charity games:  April 15, 16, 17 & 19

Club Championship:  April 22, 23, 24 & 26

Be Nice
Be Nice

In order to properly enforce "Zero Tolerance", players MUST report an infraction WHEN it occurs. ACBL is strictly enforcing this policy and we intend to do so also  There will be no warning and a 1/4 board penalty if anyone is reported to be rude at the table. If repeated sanctions will be issued.

We want all players to feel comfortable and enjoy their game.  If you are made to feel uncomfortable during play, please notify the Director and let her/him make a ruling.

Bridge is for FUN

Here is a quote by  Edith McMullin that I love to quote:

"Bridge is a game, NOT a career choice."

Noteworthy Information

ACBL Zero Tolerance Policy (law74A2)

2. A player should carefully avoid any remark or extraneous action that might cause annoyance or embarrassment to another player or might interfere with the enjoyment of the game.

Violation of this law should result in Procedural Penalties—starting with a warning and moving on to matchpoint penalties starting with ¼ board, Suspension and Expulsion for repeated and/or serious infractions.

It is up to the director to determine what is an infraction of this law and impose the penalty.

*** ANNOUNCEMENT ***

Our games are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 1:00.  The fee is $8.  There is a 30 minute lesson at 12:15 every Tuesday given by Pat.

Notifications

Cell Phone Policy:  Your phone MUST  be turned off or on mute/vibrate.  If your phone rings or dings to indicate a message, you AND YOUR PARTNER will be assessed a quarter-board penalty (points subtracted from your total score).  If it happens a second time during the game, the penalty will be a half-board adjustment. This will apply even if your phone is on a table not near you.

The director will make an announcement before the start of every game so you will have time to double check before play begins. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS!!  If you are expecting an important call, let the director know before the game starts, but still have your phone on vibrate.  You must leave the playing area to answer this call.

For the comfort of our players who are sensitive to fragrances, please refrain from wearing any perfume or scented lotions at the club games.  Your thoughtfulness will be GREATLY appreciated.
