Announcement re League Teams

Dates for your Diary

4th October 2010 - There is to be a Bridge Afternoon and Tea in aid of the Jersey Cheshire Home to be held at St Lawrence Parish Hall from 2pm - 5pm. Tables can be booked by phoning Tania Reed on 725193. The cost is £8 per person (£32 per table).

Pay to Play Scheme

At the recent meeting of the EBU Shareholders it was agreed that the EBU should go ahead with the Pay to Play Scheme. This will be introduced in 2010 and the Annual Subscription to the EBU will then be abolished. All members of Affiliated Bridge Clubs will automatically be members of the EBU and receive all the benefits. Further details will be published in July.

County Teams

The quarter final of the County Teams was played on 15th March 2010 and the results are as follows -

C Harrison, D Hole, H Walden & R Brouard beat M Miles, M Case, R Pallot and N Le Cocq by 36 imps.

M Newman, J Panter, P & G Pitcher beat B Youd, S Rankin, C Hill and J Knight by 40 imps.

The semi final was played on 22nd March 2010.

D Hole, D Friswell, H Walden & R Brouard beat M Newman, J Panter, P & G Pitcher by 29 imps.

Carl Harrison's team will represent Jersey in the final and this will be played in Jersey on 18th April.

We have moved

The CICBA Jersey District has moved premises. We now hold club meetings at the Elim Oasis Community Centre, Gordon Le Breton Close, Plat Douet Road, St Saviour. Highfield Bridge Club and the Victoria Bridge Club have also moved to the same premises.
