East is likely to play in 4S, although some pairs did get to 6S.
Likely bidding is East 1S, South 2/3D, West 2/3S, East 4S. (Either player may bid more strongly which could lead to 6S.)
Good play by the defence and poor play by Declarer will result in 12 tricks, while good play by Declarer will probably lead to 11 tricks!!
Declarer will ruff the DA opening lead and take 2 rounds of trumps, finding the trumps 3-2.
(a) If Declarer's plan is to take 3 rounds of trumps, he might well then take the heart finesse against South (the over-caller), which loses to North. Good play by North now is to lead a second diamond, which exhausts Declarer's trumps. Declarer now cannot afford to take the club finesse, but will cash his 10 tricks. However, the CQ drops and Declarer makes 12 tricks.
(b) It is better for Declarer to take only 2 rounds of trumps, with the SK and SQ, before taking the losing heart finesse. Declarer can ruff the diamond return, enter Dummy with a second heart and take the club finesse, while still having a trump in hand for another diamond return. In this way, Declarer will make only 11 tricks.
On balance, taking only 2 rounds of trumps before finessing will be the better line of play, even though on this hand it leads to a poorer result.
