Club Room
Our Northfield Learners' Group room at the Working Mens Club is now beautifully refurbished, so come along and enjoy our new 'home'.
It may occasionally be needed for another function at the WMC, in which case we can still fit in nicely in the main concert room, along with the main bridge club.
Northfield Learners Club

Welcome to Northfield Learners Club webpages.

The 'Learn and Play' club started in 2008 and pictured below are some of current group playing in the Middle Lounge of the Working Men's Club on 7 May 2015.

The club aims to cater firstly for players who have recently attended a learner group and now need somewhere to practice what they have they learned, and secondly those players who have  played a little - perhaps some time ago but wish to brush up on their bridge before moving to a 'proper' club.

Players are allowed to discuss with each other what they should bid, lead etc. and they may refer to any training notes they wish to - we are more interested in seeing players being comfortable with what they are doing, rather than being too harsh about precisely following rules and regulations which would be the case in a serious bridge club.

Have a click round these pages. There's lots of information, but if you want to know more, please do not hesitate to telephone or e-mail David Motley or Peter Nicholds.

Learn and Play Club
At the Learn and Play Club we aim to play 12-16 boards over two and a half or three hours, meeting at 7.00 p.m. to be ready for a 7.15 p.m. start.

Less experienced players who have some knowledge of bridge are invited to join us. Enquiries welcome.

Look on the main menu 'Learn and Play club rules' tab for more information.

You do not need to come with a partner- our 'supervisor' for the evening will partner you if there is an odd number of players.
