The Zenon Bridge Club hosted the annual Mixed Pairs Bridge Competition on 8th October at the Flamingo Hotel.  Thirty-eight individuals participated in this day-long event, with over half the participants members of the Zenon Bridge Club (21).  First place was won by Frosso Tillyris and Philippos Frangos at 64.23%, followed in second place by Wyn Coleman and Antonis Komodromos at 59.65%, and in third place by Deborah Browne and Peter Deng at 55.15%.  A hardy congratulations to all the winners, and a large thanks to all who came and joined in the fun.  As an aside, it should be noted that the second and third place winners were from the Zenon Bridge Club, so hurrah, hurrah. Welcome to the Zenon Bridge Club Web Site. We are located in the beautiful seaside town of Larnaca  in Cyprus, an island of perpetual warm weather and sunshine (or so the exaggerated bragging goes).  Our games are held weekly at the Flamingo Hotel, bordering on the sea.  The club is a member of the Cyprus Bridge Federation, allowing our members to compete in the numerous national competitions held annually.  Although the Zenon Club is new in name, many of its players have been playing together for many years and come together regularly every Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon for an enjoyable game of duplicate bridge.  We are known throughout Cyprus as a friendly club - our growing membership attests to this - and we will strive to maintain its positive reputation.  In the past, we have organised summer weekend bridge retreats in the mountains of Cyprus, bridge cruises in the Mediterranean Sea, and of course, our annual Christmas party for members, spouses and guests.  We are also helping to promote bridge by offering bridge lessons on Tuesday evening and encouraging middle and high schools to offer their students a chance to learn bridge as an extracurricular activitiy, sponsored by the Zenon Bridge Club.
