| Our Duplicate Bridge Evenings |
We play Duplicate Bridge every Monday evening, starting at 7.00pm. in the Old School Room, Lisvane. Please be there for 6.45pm so that the movement can be set up promptly on the computer. The site has its own car parking. The Club has up to 66 members and there are usually between 7 and 11 tables per session; we can accommodate 12 tables. New members are welcome but we limit membership to 66 so that the possibility of people turning up and not being able to play is vanishingly small.

A Genuine Bridge Experience
We now have deals which have been generated by computer. This ensures a truly random distribution of hands. This can only be achieved in normal shuffling by 7 riffle shuffles or 200 hand-over-hand shuffles which means that hands dealt in the normal way are far from random. The additional benefit is that all deals and their results can be reviewed on the web site - a genuine aid to improved play.
One Winner Movements
All our movements generate one winner so that competition is with all members of the club. This is achieved by the appropriate use of arrow switches. While not perfect, this does achieve a high degree of genuine competition (around 90% for a 24 board movement), and any imperfections decrease as results accumulate with time.
Scoring
Scoring is with 7 inch tablets which give a high degree of visibility and send all the results entered, by WiFi, to a central computer. The results are then available for viewing on this web site on the evening of the event.
